The
BIG EVENT ASK
MAY 22–31

WE NEED YOUR HELP
May is traditionally the month of The BIG Event, our largest annual fundraiser. We canceled the event this year as a public health measure and have replaced it with The BIG Ask.
Please help us meet the goal of replacing half of the donations we anticipated receiving through The Big Event, which equals 40% of our annual operating budget.
What does mentoring look like during a pandemic?
-
We created the Match Resources page contains several online activities and learning options for Bigs, Littles, and families.
-
We collaborated with the Whitefish Community Foundation and Imagination Station to deliver to each Little an educational activity kit. A second round is coming soon.
-
We have expanded our school-based program to allow Bigs and Littles to engage outside of school virtually.
-
We are hosting virtual group match activities for our Bigs and Littles.
The required solutions have already made our team and program stronger.

of our Littles have a household income of less than $20,000

of our Littles are less likely to skip school

of our Littles live with a single parent/guardian

of our Littles are less likely to use drugs

STAND IN THEIR CORNER.

In this time of uncertainty, all families are facing additional anxiety and stress. Increases in domestic violence and social isolation are rising accordingly. We know that the young people we serve feel these consequences and impact every day.
Mentoring is an essential service that we must provide through this pandemic. Your trusted investment in our mission will enable us to continue matching youth with caring mentors. Our community’s kids deserve to have someone standing in their corner.
Your gift today will help us to keep defending the potential of the kids facing adversity in Northwest Montana. Every dollar moves us closer to reaching our $50,000 goal.
